The State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) recently announced the results of its "Moments of 2024" series. Three projects by CSG earned spots on this prestigious list:
- The "Yudian" large model was named among the "Remarkable Achievements";
- Efforts to restore power after Super Typhoon Yagi were recognized as one of the "Heartwarming Shots";
- The "Open-Air Cinema — Chinese and Laotian Excellent Film Tour" was featured as one of the "Overseas Highlights".
The "Yudian" large model leverages artificial intelligence to enhance power grid efficiency and reliability. It accurately defines the security boundaries of new power systems, optimizes power generation plans across diverse energy sources, and dynamically adjusts the grid's operational modes. By addressing challenges like planning complexities and fluctuations in new energy supply, it maximizes renewable energy utilization while ensuring grid safety.
In September, Super Typhoon Yagi made landfall in Wenchang city, Hainan province, and Zhanjiang city, Guangdong province, causing widespread power outages. CSG mobilized approximately 40,000 repair personnel across provinces to swiftly restore power. Their efforts were met with heartfelt gratitude, as nearly 100,000 residents spontaneously gathered to bid farewell to the rescue teams.
The "Open-Air Cinema — Chinese and Laotian Excellent Film Tour" brought Chinese films translated into Lao to seven provinces in Laos, including Luang Prabang and Sekong. Organized by CSG, the China Media Group and the Lao Department of Cinema, the initiative fostered cultural exchange and strengthened ties between the two nations, contributing to building a community with a shared future for China and Laos.
